• I've loved frogs since I was four years old and held my first little tree frog in my hand. He looked remarkably like Eadric's friend, Peepers.
  
• I like playing What If?, and after reading The Frog Prince story again, I thought- What if the princess kissed the frog and she was the one to change?,
  
• I've never been able to stand wimpy fairy tale princesses who can't do anything on their own and need princes to solve their problems.

After writing The Frog Princess, I liked Emma and Eadric so much that I had to write another story about them. I knew that their next challenge would be to help Grassina and Haywood and that someone as conceited as Jorge wouldn't be happy about being jilted. The result was Dragon's Breath.And then, of course, Emma had to take care of the family curse before it took care of her. Now if only we knew whether Emma and Eadric ever did get married...
