From Mudine’s Book of (Nearly) Fool-Proof Spells

Rash Rid - rid yourself of that itchy rash in those hard to reach places.

Red blotches, rosy bumps,
Itchy spots, scaly lumps,
All you rashes here and there
Under shirts and underwear
On the legs and on the feet
Don’t look now, you’re in retreat!
Begone rash and never more
Irritate my tender pore!

Easy Open - open any container without breaking a nail.

Unlatch, unlock, undo, untie,
In the twinkling of an eye.
Open ye lock,
Lift ye latch,
Remove ye block,
Release ye catch.

Hair So Nu
- get the hair color you’ve always wanted.

Be gone ye old and dingy hue,
Erase the old, bring on the new!
Bright and shiny, lustrous locks,
Make it look real, not from a box.

The spell hadn’t been intended for otters, so Emma had decided to customize it.

Redo yon fur to shades of blue!
And make the color ever true!

Dust Be Gone - dust your cottage or castle without rags or sneezing.
(Emma never used this spell.)

Banish ye dust, ye filth and grime
Keep ye lint free all the time
Stay away ye little particles
From my clean and lovely articles.

Emma’s Spells

Spell to make someone keep her promise

Make her keep this vital promise.
Make her learn to keep her word.
When she says that she will do this
Do not let the truth be blurred.

Spell to banish cloud

Cloud of thunder, lightening, rain.
Be gone now, do not remain.
Go to where your water’s needed.
Go to where the crops are seeded.
Leave alone the people here.
It’s time that the sky is clear.

Spell of invisibility

Like a tear when it is raining,
Like a shadow in the night.
Let me not be seen by any
In the darkness or the light.

Spell to make oneself visible again.

Like a breath upon a breeze,
My form cannot be seen.
Make me visible to all.
From commoner to queen.

Ferdy’s Songs

When Ferdy first meets Eadric

Why was I made into a sword?
Why not a pen for writing?
I much prefer the written word,
I do not like the fighting.

Fighting hurts both friends and foes,
Brings us naught but heartfelt woes.
If I could, I’d stop it now,
Never fight again somehow.

Why was I made into a sword?
Why not a plow for sewing?
I much prefer to watch things grow,
I do not like the fighting.

Fighting hurts both friends and foes,
Brings us naught but heartfelt woes.
If I could, I’d stop it now,
Never fight again somehow.

What Ferdy sings while fighting the giant spider

Take that you nasty monster.
Take that you beastly beast.
You shall not hurt my master,
Nor add him to your feast.

I’ll cut you where it hurts most.
I’ll hack your legs right off.
And should you get much closer,
You’ll force me to get rough.
